My studio is located in Oakland, and my work covers the entire Bay Area and the surrounding areas, including Napa and Monterrey. I offer a variety of full-service packages to fit my client’s individual style and price range. Whether it's a single portrait or a complete wedding album, I custom design packages that suit my clients’ needs and the unique requirements of their event. Over the years,I've perfected a highly personal, documentary style that is accomplished with love, care, creativity and above all, fun. By tuning into the emotions of the moment, I build video and photographic essays that unfold organically. I combine a sense of humor with a sense of timing to capture candid, natural moments without contrivance or stiffness. With an eye toward unusual perspective and attention to the finer details, I deliver beautiful images powered by my clients’ passion and captured with love. When I photograph people, I search for the human aspect-those spontaneous, intimate, vulnerable moments that define a person's essence or tell a story. It's those moments that capture my passion and set my work apart.
Also relevant to my qualifications as a photographer and videographer is my unique lighting experience – as you know, lighting is a very important aspect of videography and photography. Thus, in addition to managing my own photography and videography business, for the last 20 years, I have also worked for a lighting company in the East Bay (DTC Grip & Electric) where I set up and prepare lighting for movie and commercial sets in Northern California. I have worked on films such as the Matrix, Spider Man, just to name a few.
